Joran van der Sloot admits to extortion in Natalee Holloway case

Joran van der Sloot is in the news again, this time in conjunction with a confession.
AOL News reports that van der Sloot confessed to a Dutch newspaper that he had, in fact, extorted money from Natalee Holloway’s family in exchange for revealing the location of her body. Van der Sloot was indicted in June on charges of extortion during an FBI sting, but the disclosed burial location turned out to be empty.

The paper quoted van der Sloot as saying that he extorted money from the Holloways as a form of revenge because they had been making his life horrible since Natalee disappeared in 2005.
Van der Sloot has also been charged with killing Stephany Flores in Lima, Peru back in May.
